White Heels & Denim Make For an Inspiring Spring Combination
Happy spring thoughts, Gorgeous!
Let's talk about white shoes today. I know, it's really tough to pull off a pair of white shoes more than once. Do you own a pair, but don't know how, when, and what with to wear it? Or are you thinking about getting one, but hesitating? Don't worry, girl, it's my first white pair of heels, as well. 😉 I did some research and figured out how to pull them off.
But first thing's first... let me tell you the story of how I scored these white Céline heels with a deep, deep discount.
There is a magic store in New York City, Century 21, where you can buy high-end designer clothes, shoes, bags, accessories, and more at a reduced price. As magical as it is all year long, the store gets way more magical during its annual sale. Last weekend, I was in NYC and couldn't resist the opportunity to check out the sale.
So glad I did! 😍
Back to the white shoes, though. Denim is the best match for white shoes. White pops against denim due to the contrast, but these two colors don't clash. They make the best of friends.
Spring is in the air, so I'm wearing ruffled, cropped jeans. The ruffles are so much fun and the length is perfect for spring. As for the top half of the outfit, I borrowed a Soda & Scotch heart-printed shirt from my beau and layered it beneath a J.Crew sweater. What can I say? I like to be comfortable in my clothes. Plus, I adore oversized clothes. They are easy to pull off even when you're petite. The dark red of the sweater made the color combination classic. Blue, red, and white: you can probably think of a million examples of those three colors going so well together. 😉
Once you combine denim with white, I suggest adding more details to offer visual interest and to polish the look. I picked an embroidered Zara purse and a scarf on the ankle.
I hope you're less intimidated with the idea of the white shoes now. Scoop them up without fear during the next gigantic sale you come across. Get inspired to create a fun outfit. And don't forget to let me know what you think by leaving a comment below.
