Be Daring. Be Bold. Get Styling!
Hey Gorgeous! Did you hear? I am wearing a skirt as a dress!
“Whaaaat?” - say you! Yep, that’s right - I am wearing a long midi skirt as a dress!
In this illustrated blog post))) my velvet lace up booties are going to the corporate Christmas party. And I am wearing them with something quietly rebellious - a Skirt as a Dress!
Why wear a skirt as a skirt, a dress as a dress and a hat as ..well, a hat? Lol. I want to break the rules! Anything goes this holiday season, it's the most wonderful time of the year!
So I found a different use for this metallic pleated skirt. It's become my holiday party dress, and a statement piece!! Would you be brave enough to put something like that on? I think you would, if you felt what I did when I saw this skirt for the first time - you would.
The sheen and the combination of gold and silver took my breath away when I first saw it. But I knew right away I wasn’t going to wear it as a midi skirt. See here another way to style this beautiful metallic number.
So for the corporate party it was the choice between a little black dress)) or this. -->This<-- is what I chose)) Are you with me? Check out the video below, the skirt is light as a feather. Oh man, was it cold the day we filmed, I got myself a Rudolf the Reindeer nose by the end of the session! :))
It would make me really happy if you watched the video and let me know what you think by leaving a comment below. Don’t be shy, Gorgeous. Try to remember a time when you thought an item of clothing or an accessory would have looked better if it was used a different than a manufacturer-suggested way, or if it was styled differently. All the time, right?
In addition to the skirt, I am wearing the velvet booties, which I’ve taken on a challenge of styling 3 very different ways. An easy task really, not so much a challenge. They are so appropriate for the holidays.
Overalls & Booties were the first pick in the series. The one you’re reading is the second. Will post the 3rd bootie combination here as well, when it comes out.
ADDITION: Here is the 3rd combination: Raffles, Sequins & Booties.)))
Did you notice my gorge biker gloves? How about the pendant necklace? Remember that you can always find the links to the pieces I’m wearing at the very bottom of the posts! Don’t forget to leave a comment, Gorgeous!
